Daniela Ianni Thursday, 18th December 2008 - Last day in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah - Malaysian Borneo

Like everything in life, our experience is coming to its end. Almost all my colleagues have come back home and we have packed our suitcases, too. Tomorrow we'll fly home from Kota Kinabalu to Kuala Lumpur and from Kuala Lumpur to Roma Fiumicino. The results of the conference are great: appreciation for the work we have done and a lot of contacts and projects to carry out next year. I'll tell you everything in Italy. Daniela Ianni Tuesday, 16th December 2008 - AEC Conference last day, yesterday's farewell dinner again and more

We are at the end of the conference which has been rich of ideas, full of committed teachers, wondeful persons who have made this meeting really special. The projects are challenging and we all will be part of that. The final greetings are always very sad but next year we'll be all again in....Copenhagen.

Daniela Ianni Monday, 15th December 2008 - The farewell dinner

Hi!!!!! Today, another long day. Two interesting presentations in the morning about ICT (Information and Communication Technology) in teaching, the first one from The Ministry of Education of Finland the other from Malaysia. In the afternoon all the teachers in small groups have worked on the project they will develop together from January up to the end of the year. Daniela Ianni Saturday, 13th December 2008 - The winning projects (2007/2008)

Hello! Our school partecipated in two of the six best projects of last year, Brick&Mortar coordinated by the Pioneer Secondary School, Singapore (IV BLST) and Literary Corner coordinated by the Garden International School, Malaysia (III A LST). The six finalist projects have been presented today in front of 85 teachers from European and Asian countries, the representatives of UNESCO and the European Schoolnet. Daniela Ianni Friday, 12th December 2008 - around Kota Kinabalu: a "multiple" reality

The conference has started today with many speeches from the representative of UNESCO, the Malaysian Ministry of Education, and Sabah's authorities (Sabah is the name of the region whose capital is Kota Kinabalu). The dinner was Chinese (very good indeed!) and it was long. Many students of the local schools, in national dresses, have sung and danced for the 85 teachers from Asian and European countries present at the Conference. They were great! Hi!!!! How are you? At school as usual? For us here this has been the day on which we have seen a part of the city in the morning (market with a lot of people, tropical fruit, spices, fish, clothes, bags, pearls, shells and also.....some mice! Daniela Ianni Wednesday ,10th December 2008. First report from Kota Kinabalu - Malaysia

Hi everybody! After a long (LONG!!!!) journey we are finally here in Kota Kinabalu, capital city of the region of Sabah in the part of Malaysia that is on Borneo island. The journey was really long, in a few words I left home at 7 am on Tuesday 9th December to take the train to Rome and we (I mean Anna, my colleague and me) arrived at the hotel in Kota Kinabalu after....24 hours.
