Friday, 12th December 2008 - around Kota Kinabalu: a "multiple" reality

The conference has started today with many speeches from the representative of UNESCO, the Malaysian Ministry of Education, and Sabah's authorities (Sabah is the name of the region whose capital is Kota Kinabalu). The dinner was Chinese (very good indeed!) and it was long. Many students of the local schools, in national dresses, have sung and danced for the 85 teachers from Asian and European countries present at the Conference. They were great! For the moment I don't have any pictures of the students as I forgot the camera in my room. Tomorrow I'll copy some photos from my colleague. In the morning we saw many interesting places around the city. Different situations, same place!
