Saturday, 13th December 2008 - The winning projects (2007/2008)
Hello!
Our school partecipated in two of the six best projects of last year, Brick&Mortar coordinated by the Pioneer Secondary School, Singapore (IV BLST) and Literary Corner coordinated by the Garden International School, Malaysia (III A LST). The six finalist projects have been presented today in front of 85 teachers from European and Asian countries, the representatives of UNESCO and the European Schoolnet. AEC Network has awarded three of these projects and I have presented the book produced by the students of the class III A LST as an extension of Literary Corner because Mrs. Noni Peers has called me to show the work done autonomously by the Italian students. Unfortunately we are not among the three awarded projects but we had and Award of Excellence and then being in two of the finalist projects is a great achievement! Next year we'll go on with Literary Corner and we'll be in another project concerning writing that is called "Chain Stories". I am also looking for some other interesting projects to work for. Mrs. Helene Tinde from Denmark, coordinator of the Chain Stories project, has appreciated very much the website that Mrs. Ernesta Cicini has created for it, this is our main contribution as we'll be the webmaster of the project and the website will be hosted by our school. Tomorrow all the teachers who have presented new ideas for next year will present them at the conference and Helene will present also the website coming from....our school.
I'm uploading the pictures of today. I am sorry I don't have any from the conference, but they are in Anna's camera and now it's too late to call her (it's midnight!). Tomorrow I'll send only pictures from the conference. OK?
