Hi everybody!
After a long (LONG!!!!) journey we are finally here in Kota Kinabalu, capital city of the region of Sabah in the part of Malaysia that is on Borneo island. The journey was really long, in a few words I left home at 7 am on Tuesday 9th December to take the train to Rome and we (I mean Anna, my colleague and me) arrived at the hotel in Kota Kinabalu after....24 hours. First flight from Rome to Kuala Lumpur (capital of Malaysia), 12 hours, then second flight from Kuala Lumpur to Kota Kinabalu...with a surprise!!! The plane from Kuala Lumpur landed after a couple of hours and we got off. Anna changed some money at the airport (fortunately) and we saw that they gave us some money of Brunei! It was not Kota Kinabalu, it was the airport of Brunei Darussalam!!! The plane had a "stop" there but nobody told us! Luckily the officers of the airport helped us to quicly come back to the plane and we could continue the flight up to Kota Kinabalu. We started laughing and we finished when we came back to the plane. The flight assistants must have thought we were crazy! But it was really funny!
I have already met some teachers and the coordinators of the Asia Europe Classroom Network.
Here are some pictures I have taken today from the balcony of my room, and this is all for the moment, see you tomorrow. (IT'S TERRIBLY HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
